Your menus are yours. They are not visible to other Menuvate customers, are never sold, and are never shared with anyone else unless you choose to share them.
Each Menuvate customer has their own separate storage area. Your menus, your competitor records and your uploaded files are kept in yours.
That separation is enforced by our server, not by the app in your browser. When your browser asks for data, it does not get to say whose data it wants — the server works that out from your access credential and will only ever return your own. There is no way to ask for another customer's menus, whether by accident or on purpose.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your menus to advertise to you or to anyone else.
When you run an analysis, write a description, translate a menu or use another AI feature, the relevant menu text is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to produce that result. This is what makes those features work.
It is sent to produce your result and returned to you. It is not used to train AI models. If you would rather a particular menu never be processed this way, simply do not run AI features on it — importing, editing, designing and printing a menu do not require it.
Menuvate keeps a shared archive of restaurant menus that customers can search when adding a competitor. It saves everyone re-importing the same well-known restaurants.
Competitor menus in the archive are drawn from restaurants' own publicly published menus — the same pages any member of the public can view. If you own a restaurant listed there and would like it removed, email us and we will remove it.
When you import a menu from a web address, Menuvate reads that page in the same way a visitor would. We only read pages you point us at. For a small number of ordering platforms that do not permit automated reading, an optional browser add-on reads the page using your own browser instead; it is covered by its own privacy policy.
We do not ask for or store payment card details, customer lists, sales records or employee information.
Access to a Menuvate account is currently by a single access code per account rather than individual logins. That means anyone holding your code has full access to everything in your account.
Treat the code like a key to the building: share it only with people who should see everything, and tell us if you need it changed. Per-person logins are on our roadmap.
You can delete menus and competitor records in the app at any time. To have an entire account removed, email us and we will delete it, including stored files.
If you previously chose to share a menu into the shared archive, tell us and we will remove that too — deleting it from your own account does not automatically withdraw it.
If this policy changes, the revised version appears here with a new date above. We will tell you in the app if a change materially affects how your data is handled.
Questions, deletion requests, or anything else about your data: [email protected].
